Future-Ready Workforce Committee
The Future-Ready Workforce Committee is a bistate initiative of TechSTL uniting key stakeholders across the St. Louis Metro to accelerate the region’s transition into a digitally empowered, tech-skilled economy. This cross-sector committee brings together K–12 education leaders, workforce development agencies, higher education institutions, nonprofit training providers, and hiring partners from regional anchor institutions to address one urgent mission: rapidly reskilling the St. Louis workforce for the future of work.
Meeting monthly, the committee collaborates on strategies to:
-
Expand access to tech training and digital literacy
-
Build equitable pathways to upward mobility in high-growth industries
-
Align education-to-employment pipelines with real industry demand
-
Strengthen public-private partnerships that scale talent development
-
Champion regional policies that support lifelong learning and economic inclusion
As automation, AI, and advanced technologies reshape the job market, the Future-Ready Workforce Committee is helping ensure St. Louis leads with an inclusive, resilient, and opportunity-rich workforce strategy—built for tomorrow, but acting now.
The Future-Ready Workforce Committee meets once a month via Zoom on the third Thursday from 10 AM – 11 AM
