Welcome to the QueerTech Affinity Group & Forum. This members-only space is dedicated to fostering connection, support, and advancement for LGBTQIA2S+ professionals in the St. Louis tech community.
GROUP PURPOSE
This group serves as a platform for:
- Building meaningful connections within the LGBTQIA2S+ tech community
- Sharing professional development opportunities and resources
- Supporting career advancement and visibility
- Discussing workplace inclusion strategies
- Fostering mentorship relationships
- Advancing advocacy initiatives
- Celebrating community achievements
MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY
- LGBTQIA2S+ tech professionals
- Active TechSTL members
- Verified allies (by application)
- Industry partners (by invitation)
- DEI professionals
- TechSTL staff moderators
POSTING GUIDELINES
DO:
- Share professional opportunities and resources
- Post questions about workplace inclusion
- Contribute success stories and experiences
- Share relevant events and programs
- Promote mentorship opportunities
- Offer peer support and guidance
DON’T:
- Share members’ personal information
- Out or identify others without consent
- Engage in discriminatory behavior
- Post content that compromises safety
- Share private group discussions publicly
- Post promotional content without approval

- No sharing of membership information
- Private messaging guidelines enforced
- Photo and social media restrictions
- Secure communication channels
EVENT PARTICIPATION
Events should be:

- Privacy-protected
RESOURCE SHARING

VIOLATION CONSEQUENCES
- First occurrence: Private discussion
- Second occurrence: Membership review
- Third occurrence: Membership suspension
- Severe violations result in immediate removal of the Group and TechSTL
- Safety violations reported to appropriate authorities
