Defense Innovation Committee

The Defense Innovation Committee is a cross-disciplinary, members-only group within TechSTL focused on advancing the St. Louis region’s role in national security and defense innovation. This committee unites professionals and leaders from across geospatial technologies, AI/ML, cybersecurity, advanced manufacturing, and government policy to explore the intersection of emerging tech and national defense strategy as St. Louis works to position itself as a Defense Innovation Hub.

Meeting monthly, the committee serves as a collaborative forum for defense contractors, tech innovators, military liaisons, academic researchers, and public sector partners to:

• Analyze cyber and physical threat landscapes

• Accelerate dual-use tech for defense and civilian applications

• Strengthen public-private partnerships with federal agencies

• Support workforce readiness for secure technology development

• Advocate for defense-aligned innovation policy

As global security challenges evolve, the Defense Innovation Committee positions St. Louis as a vital hub for mission-driven innovation. From battlefield tech to data infrastructure, this committee is where the future of defense is imagined—and built.

The Defense Innovation Committee meets once a month via Zoom on the first Thursday from 12:00 – 1:00 PM
